Three police officers were bitten by a man on a rant in a downtown bar on Sunday.
At 1:30 a.m., officers heard the man yelling inside Swans Pub from across the street. They went in to investigate and a struggle ensued. The bites connected with one officer’s leg, one’s arm, and one’s knee – the latter broke the skin and a tetanus shot was later administered.
It took five officers to control the 23-year-old Esquimalt man, who was intoxicated. Michael David Hill is charged with three counts of assaulting a police officer, and one of causing a disturbance.
