At approximately 1:55 a.m. Kelowna Fire Dispatch received a 911 call reporting flames inside a building at the 1500 block of Banks Road.
Fire crews arrived to a find a fire in the building as well as a broken glass door. The fire was quickly extinguished. There was no one in the building at the time of the fire. RCMP were called to the scene as the fire was suspicious.
Kelowna Fire Department responded to the incident with three fire engines, a rescue truck, ladder truck, safety and command vehicle totaling 15 personnel. There were no injuries. The Kelowna Fire Department would like to remind the public to check their smoke alarms on a regular basis.
