'Suspicious male' not a threat, but police appreciate report

Although there was no crime intended, police are commending the public on their actions.

Staff Sgt. Scott West issued a news release Friday stating that on Thursday, Oct. 18, the Salmon Arm RCMP received a report of a suspicious male who had approached three young girls while on their way to school.

Through the course of the investigation, he said, police were able to identify the male and determine that there was no ill intent or motivation on his part.

“The Salmon Arm RCMP are reminding the public to remain vigilant and commend the actions of the young
