SUV knocks down street light and road signs in front of Departure Bay ferry terminal

Single-vehicle accident happened on Zorkin Road on Tuesday morning

A vehicle knocked over a lamp standard and road signs close to the Departure Bay ferry terminal this morning.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Zorkin Road, where an SUV collided with the pole just before the intersection with Stewart Avenue and Brechin Road at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The male driver, who wasn’t injured in the crash, said he lost steering control of vehicle when the front end locked up.

Only one lane of Zorkin is blocked.
