Black swastikas were spray painted on houses and vehicles in a Fort Langley neighbourhood over the weekend.
Langley RCMP confirm that at least two vehicles and some houses were hit with the Nazi anti-Semitic symbol on Friday night or early Saturday morning.
The graffiti took place on Trattle Street and another neighbouring road, both near the Langley Fine Arts School.
“We have no suspects and no witnesses,” said Langley RCMP spokesperson Const. Craig van Herk. “We don’t have any information so it’s difficult to say what the intent was. We don’t usually get that kind of graffiti, so it is something we are investigating.”
Van Herk said police did some door-to-door inquiries to see if anyone saw anything or has information, but no leads have turned up yet.
“If anyone has information about these incidents we would appreciate them calling us,” he said.
The last reported incident of swastika graffiti in Langley was during the November, 2011 election, when mayoral signs were defaced.
