Taxi-involved hit-and-run sends elderly Vancouver cyclist to hospital: police

Police believe the car failed to stop

An elderly cyclist is in hospital after a hit-and-run in Vancouver that may have involved a taxi.

Police said the cyclist, a man in his 70s, was riding his bike near West 4th Avenue and Collingwood Street on Tuesday morning when he was hit by a car.

Witnesses told police they think a taxi was involved. Police say they have a suspect.
