Three teens were robbed by knifepoint in a downtown alley on Monday around 6 p.m.
While walking northbound in the 500 block of Martin Street the trio of teens, two males and one female, were approached by two males who asked if any of the group had a cigarette.
“The shorter male pulled out a knife and put it to one of the male victims’ stomach and told them he is not playing around and that they needed to empty their pockets,” said Sgt. Rick Dellebuur.
The victims said they had nothing of value except a backpack. After taking a silver necklace and a skull ring that one of the male victims was wearing, the suspects forced the three teens to go into the back alley behind the Legion.
The suspects then looked through the backpack which only contained books and homework. The suspects then said, “have a nice day,” and left south bound. The victims then saw one of the male suspects on Main Street near a bike shop with a female.
The teens told police they saw the male suspect and the female walk south on Main Street.
The shorter of the male suspects, who produced the knife, is described as caucasian, approximately 25 years old, blue eyes, blond hair, light blond beard as though he hadn’t shaved in a few days, five-foot-six and was wearing a gold and two silver necklaces, a reddish/black jacket with some white on it, black track pants with some red and a reddish/black hat with white on it.
The second male suspect is described as Native, at least six-foot-two, 190 pounds, short dark hair, wearing a blackish/grey lumberjack plaid jacket with a big rip in the back so you could see the insulation, black track pants and a hat.
