The Regional District Water Services Department is responding to high chlorine levels detected in the French Creek Water System.
On Tuesday, Sept. 20 staff were knocking on doors in the immediate area of Sunrise Drive to notify residents of the situation. Water Services staff may undertake water main flushing in isolated areas of the French Creek Water System in order to clear the lines of excess chlorine.
The water supply was expected to return to normal operation by 4 p.m. today (Sept. 20).
Customers can expect the following
During (and after) water main flushing customers can expect a short disruption of service (20 min), temporary discolouration and chlorine taste and odours.
