THE DOORS open at 10 am as a full day of touring the nearly 80 booths and displays at the Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce’s Business Expo being held in the Sportsplex gets underway.
The main display area in the large arena is complemented by one of mainly RVs and recreational vehicles in the smaller Hidber arena.
Judges yesterday afternoon chose display winners and here are the results:
Best Service – Northern Savings Credit Union
Best Industrial – Seabridge Gold
Best Retail – SpeeDee Office Supplies
Best Commercial – Daybreak Farms
Best Community/Government – Kalum Quarry
Best Overall (as chosen by the judges) – RCMP
WOW Award – Kitselas Treaty
Entertainment today is music arranged by Steve Little and that begins at 1 p.m., lasting until 4 p.m.
At 11 a.m. and lasting until 1 p.m., Northwest Community College culinary arts students will display their skills.
The business expo winds up at 6 p.m. and unlike past years, there is no Sunday opening.
Many booths have raffles and there is an overall grand prize, a family trip with accommodation to Vancouver courtesy of Hawkair.
