Issues of The Terrace Standard will not be available for pick-up the drop box outside its entrance after business hours, owing to recent cases of vandalism.
Bert Husband, publisher of The Terrace Standard, said that unfortunately, as of April 8,, the decision was made after someone lit a fire beside the drop box.
“We regret to inform the community that owing to increased instances of destructive behaviour affecting downtown businesses, we will no longer be able to serve the community by having the newspaper out all through the day, until a better solution is found,” said Husband.
Newspapers can be collected from a wire rack placed at the entrance of the office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m, Monday to Friday.
