The City of Terrace is reminding residents that water sprinkling restrictions are in place year-round.
Lawn sprinkling is permitted at any time for odd numbered addresses on odd numbered days, and even numbered addresses on even numbered days.
Hand sprinkling of flowers and shrubs with a controlled nozzle is allowed at any time.
The restrictions have been in place year-round to make sure there is an adequate water supply for firefighters, and to keep the cost of delivering water to a minimum.
There may be further restrictions if required, which may be warranted considering recent dry forecasts and growing risk of wildfire in the region.
