Terrace’s Art in Motion Dance earns accolades at Prince George Dance Festival

The group earned a total of 21 trophies during the competition

Art in Motion Dance in Terrace recently completed its first competition at the Prince George Dance Festival, achiving its best results ever.

“We are so proud of our team and teachers that have continued to work hard and train in a very challenging year of the pandemic and all the related consequences,” said Tracey Hart, director, in an email.

“Big congratulations to everyone that took the stage and contributed to the success of our team.”

The group earned a total of 21 trophies during the competition which took place between Mar. 20 and Mar. 26.

Several dancers earned accolades at the festival’s gala, held on Mar. 26:

Outstanding Modern/contemporary 12 years & under- Izzie Croot

Ballet Style & Presentation open Age — Victoria Cho

Jazz Style and Presentation — Open Age — Braya Kluss

Outstanding Lyrical Performance — Open Age — Sydney Harris

Outstanding Dance Performance 13 & over — Bronwen Bennett

Outstanding Hip Hop Performance Open Age — Can You Keep Up

Provincial Delegate Senior Ballet — Bronwen Bennett

Art in Motion Dance’s next virtual competition is taking the place of the cancelled Pacific Northwest Music Festival between April 16 and April 18.
