Humpback Rd. reopened after a car nearly drove off a 50-foot cliff Saturday afternoon.

West Shore RCMP said it was a single-vehicle accident at “the hump” – a single lane section of the road which is a blind spot for drivers. Corporal Chris Dovell said that the driver “took evasive action to avoid a collision and [the vehicle] was stuck near a cliff.”

There were no injuries to the two people that were in the vehicle, and no serious damage to the vehicles.

West Shore RCMP tweeted out that the road was closed in both directions while they assisted the vehicle.
