The RCMP responded to 148 calls for service from July 4-11, including six collisions that resulted only in minor injuries.
One collision involved a small fender-bender with another vehicle, while three other incidents were the result of hitting deer or wildlife. A motorcyclist went off the road after hitting loose gravel near Fort Steele.
An inebriated cyclist also smoked a parked vehicle on his bike and ended up in a cell overnight without any injuries. No other hit and run incidents were reported.
One impaired driving charge was reported.
Cranbrook RCMP also responded to eight mental health calls with three of those involved taken into custody.
Four thefts were reported, three of which were shoplifting, while one complaint involved a rash of thefts at a local care home.
Four cases of property damage were also reported, one from from a domestic dispute where an ex-lover broke a cell phone. The suspect was located, arrested and released with a charge of mischief to property. Another incident involved vandalism of vehicles on the 1900 block of 2nd Street South.
No drug seizures were made, while there were no assault complaints or break and enters reported.
