This is just a test: Peninsula emergency alert

Sidney, Central Saanich and North Saanich residents will receive a text alert on Oct. 18

  • Oct. 15, 2018 12:00 a.m.

The Saanich Peninsula Alert system will be tested on Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. Residents of Sidney, Central Saanich, and North Saanich who have signed up for alerts will receive a text alert on their mobile device.

This test message is routine, and in a tweet, Central Saanich Fire wrote that “no action will be required.”

Only those who have registered for these alerts will receive them.
