Thousands come for Candlelight Parade

Close to 70 floats registered for annual event in Mission

Thousands of people came downtown to watch Mission’s annual Candlelight Parade on Dec. 5.

There were close to 70 floats with bright lights and festive music. Dance troupes, bikes, and even ponies performed and greeted people along the way.

“Thank you to all the participants and volunteers for a job well done,” said Mission Chamber of Commerce president Ann Harper. “Each year keeps getting better and better, and this year even the weather was better.”

Despite forecast predictions for precipitation, the rain held off, leaving a clear and breezy evening for the popular parade.
