Three incumbents re-elected in Abbotsford ridings

All three Liberal candidates – all incumbents – have been declared winners in the Abbotsford electoral ridings in tonight’s provincial election.

Longtime MLA Mike de Jong has taken the Abbotsford West riding, with more than 7,000 votes to NDP candidate Preet Rai’s 3,800 votes (as of 10 p.m.).

In Abbotsford South, Darryl Plecas takes his second term as MLA, claiming more than 7,500 votes as of 10 p.m.

The NDP’s Jasleen Arora is second with 4,100 votes, followed by the Green Party’s Aird Flavelle with almost 2,200.

In Abbotsford-Mission, Simon Gibson has also claimed his second term in provincial politics, with more than 9,000 votes (as of 10 p.m.), followed by Andrew Christie (NDP) and Jennifer Holmes (Green).
