Three people are vying for the position of chief of the Neskonlith Indian Band.
Along with incumbent Chief Judy Wilson, also running are Bonnie Thomas and Randy Narcisse.
Narcisse and Thomas have both held the position of band councillor previously.
Running for a councillor position are several incumbents as well as several newcomers.
The incumbents running are: Frank Deneault, Joan Manuel-Hooper, Art Anthony, Randy Sam and Karen R. August.
Newcomers joining the race are: Fay Ginther, Tracy Holloway, Renee Narcisse and Gary Wiens.
Louis Thomas has already been declared elected as Salmon Arm councillor because he was the lone candidate.
Nominations for council positions closed on Dec. 6 and the election will take place on Thursday, Jan. 22.
The count will be held at 8 p.m. at Neskonlith Hall in Chase and is open to band members.
