A proposed new office building that would be home to medical professionals and be located near Abbotsford Regional Hospital will go to a public hearing.
A numbered company wants to build a three-storey building on Marshall Road, just east of the hospital, on five properties that had previously been zoned for single-family houses.
The land – along with many parcels across Marshall Road to the east of the hospital – had been designated for health care purposes in the city’s 2016 Official Community Plan.
The building would include 175 parking spaces, most of which would be located in an underground parkade.
Thirty-two trees will be removed. The developer plans to plant 52 new ones and provide cash to provide for 17 others to be planted elsewhere.
