Two members of the Tiny House Warrior group were arrested on the weekend after telling construction workers they had no Secwepemc consent to flag on Highway 5 near Moonbeam Creek, about 60 km north of Blue River, B.C.
Kanahus Manuel and Isha Jules were taken into custody at about 9 a.m. on Oct. 19 and had a bail hearing scheduled in Kamloops at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 21.
Manuel and Jules were staying at a camp the group built in Blue River to protect a river crossing from the proposed Trans Mountain pipeline, said a spokesperson for the group.

According to a press release the pair was charged for mischief, with additional charges of intimidation laid following the initial arrest.
Clearwater RCMP wasn’t at liberty to discuss the case as the investigation is ongoing.
Manuel and Jules were taken to the Clearwater RCMP detachment before Manuel was taken to Kamloops by ambulance for injuries to her wrist that happened during the arrest, the spokesperson said.
When Manuel was discharged from the hospital she remained in RCMP custody.
