Tonight Victoria residents can share their opinions on this year’s municipal budget.
A Town Hall meeting is scheduled to begin at Victoria City Hall at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.
The Draft Financial Plan has been available since mid December, and outlines a $244.7 million budget, with a capital budget of $118 million for 2019.

Some of the largest proposed expenditures include the Victoria Police Department budget, infrastructural upgrades to underground utilities, the new Crystal Pool facility, a new fire hall for the Victoria Fire Department and the continued construction of the Victoria bike network.
It also includes a proposed overall tax increase of 4.3 per cent.
The meeting will be interactive and web cast live, and questions will also be taken over the phone at 250-361-0327. People can also submit questions via Twitter by using #VicTownHall.
