The gym at Parkland Secondary School was packed with students from all three secondary schools in the Saanich School District on Feb. 27 for the annual trade expo.

The expo served as a way for youth to get a taste of the various trade programs offered through the District – something which has taken off in secondary schools across the Saanich School District over the last handful of years.

The expo featured Grade 12 students who are currently enrolled in programs like carpentry, meat cutting, cosmetology and welding all the way to students who have recently achieved their Red Seal certification in their chosen trade.
