A collision under the Whatcom Road overpass has caused significant delays on Highway 1 westbound.
An apparent rear-end accident around 8 a.m. slowed traffic, as the vehicles involved were loaded onto a tow truck and crews mopped up the scene. The scene was cleared just before 9 a.m., but traffic in the area remains slow.
