Two Abbotsford men are facing charges after a traffic stop in Kamloops on Dec. 16 turned up drugs, $2,000 cash, two swords and a Taser.
Kamloops RCMP said they pulled over the vehicle at about 9 p.m. that day after the driver failed to stop at a stop sign.
“Upon approaching the vehicle and speaking with the two occupants, the officer saw some illegal controlled drugs in plain view,” RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said in a press release.
The two men – ages 19 and 20 – were arrested, and a search of the vehicle turned up more drugs and the other items. Shelkie said the two men were “previously known to police.”
They were released from custody to await a future court date.
Shelkie said all information has been turned over to the B.C. Prosecution Service to determine what charges will be laid.
