The Trail and District Chamber of Commerce brought back its Business Excellence Awards this year, and handed out top honours to six local small businesses on Saturday.
Eighty Trail and area businesses were nominated overall, then categories narrowed down by the number of nominations and accolades received by nominees.
Winners were announced following a vote-by-ballot of chamber members attending a Saturday brunch at the Riverbelle.
Business of the Year went to Valley Firearms; Not-for-Profit Community Impact Award, Communities in Bloom; Waneta Auto & Equipment took home the Trades Services Excellence Award; Selkirk Security Services won Professional Services Excellence Award; Kiss My Grass, Customer Service Excellence Award; and Ferraro Foods, the Retail Excellence Award.
