Two rail cars derailed Saturday, Nov. 21 near Pacific Abrasives in Grand Forks just off Carson Road.

The rail cars and track are owned by U.S.-based Kettle Falls International Railroad and were transporting lumber.

Crews from Kettle Falls Railroad were on hand shortly after making repairs, which are expected to be completed this week.

Calls from the Gazette to Kettle Falls Railroad were not returned by press time.
