Trevor Moore recognized on Barriere Secondary Wall of Distinction

Barriere Secondary's Convocation Ceremonies on May 24, 2019, included a special presentation to past BSS graduate Trevor Moore. The Wall of Distinction award recognized Moore, who, after graduating from Barriere Secondary to become a helicopter pilot, then established a helicopter charter company called CC Helicopters. Moore stepped forward in 2010 by committing his company and his team to demonstrate and prove the need for a dedicated air ambulance program to serve the Interior of British Columbia; one that would be based out of Kamloops. Following an eight week pilot project, as well as much lobbying of the provincial government, CC Helicopters was awarded the government contract in 2012 for a dedicated helicopter air ambulance service. Since 2012 this air ambulance service has proven time and again that saving precious time really does equate to saving lives for people within this area. Pictured (r-l) is Trevor Moore being presented with the Wall of Distinction Award from Barriere Secondary's vice-principal Mark McVittie.
