A Triple O’s could be coming to the Harbour City.
The City of Nanaimo has received a development permit application calling for the construction of a 186-square-metre one-storey Triple O’s drive-thru restaurant at Country Club Centre.
The proposed Triple O’s restaurant would be built in between Starbucks and Dairy Queen in an area beside the Dairy Queen. The application’s owner is listed as Country Club Centre Ltd.
The Triple O’s building’s design would conform with the company’s other locations and would feature “cultured stone” column elements and “prominent” window glazing that would “maximize” mountain view opportunities for customers, according to documents available on the city’s website. There would also be a small outdoor patio area as well.
Dave Mills, property manager with Country Club Centre, confirmed that an application has been submitted to the city. He said it is far too early to provide a timeline for construction on the restaurant.
“There is still a lot more work to be done before we even know what is going to happen,” he said.
Triple O’s is the fast food arm of White Spot Restaurants. The chain offers a selection of White Spot burgers as well as fries and milkshakes. Triple O’s can be found throughout British Columbia including locations in Duncan, Nanoose Bay and Courtenay as well as in Edmonton, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
