Vernon is the big star on TV.
The community, along with Sparkling Hill, O’Keefe Ranch, Gray Monk Estate Wineries and Oyama Ziplines, will be featured on the Marilyn Denis Show at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday).
“I am very proud that we were able to host Marilyn Denis, Tommy Smythe and Chef Lynn Crawford in Vernon and area,” said Ange Chew, the City of Vernon’s tourism manager.
“Being on the Marilyn Denis Show, which is Canada’s No. 1 talk show, will give Vernon exposure as a destination to the show’s national Canadian audience, and exposure for Vernon in U.S. cities where the Marilyn Denis Show is aired also. This was a fantastic opportunity for Tourism Vernon to raise the awareness for the city and our tourism partners.”
The TV coverage received support from Destination B.C., the Thompson-Okanagan Tourism Association and Air Canada.
“Three years from pitch to show airing, this was a project that involved multiple partners and team work,” said Chew.
