Two cougars spotted in Sooke area

Two cougar sightings have been reported in the Sooke Region in the last 24 hours.

Two cougar sightings have been reported in the Sooke Region in the last 24 hours.

CRD tweeted this morning around 10:30 a.m. that a cougar had been spotted on the Coast Trail at East Sooke Regional Park.

Sooke resident Karen Wedel posted in Sooke Social on Facebook that she also saw a cougar pass through her back yard, near the corner of Sooke River Road and Sooke Road.

B.C. Conservation Officer Service say they have not received any reports of sightings, but will monitor the situation.
