Two people have been taken into custody after police executed a search warrant at a house in Maple Ridge Wednesday morning.
Police, including the street enforcement unit, the uniformed community response unit and general duty officers, executed a drug warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a house in the 22500 block of Brown Avenue.
“It is an ongoing police investigation,” said Sgt. Brenda Gresiuk with the Ridge Meadows RCMP adding that although there are people in custody, it doesn’t mean they have been charged with anything.
“I don’t know the outcome if they will be released, what the circumstances are or anything because it is just unfolding,” she said.
Gresiuk anticipated that police would be at the scene for at least an hour.
