A person who was prohibited from operating a vehicle was stopped by the police in Fraser Lake on August 20 for a motor vehicle offence.
During a search of the vehicle police discovered what is believed to be methamphetamine, cocaine and a large amount of cash and drug paraphernalia.
Both adult men were held in custody pending a court appearance but were released on a promise to appear for a future court date. The investigation is ongoing.
“While we are working hard at keeping our communities safe during the current wildfire situation here we remain vigilant with respect to our commitment to uphold the law,” said Sgt Jason Slater, NCO i/c of the Fraser Lake Detachment.
