Two men were arrested last Thursday as the Chilliwack RCMP executed a drug warrant.
Police went into an apartment unit in the 9300 block of Edward Street, finding significant amounts of what they believe to be heroin, crack cocaine and methamphetamine. The drugs were packaged and looked to be ready for distribution. Police also found cash and a firearm.
Seven people were detained. The two men, ages 37 and 40, were taken into custody and appeared in court Friday.
“We are sending a pretty loud message to the people who bring this kind of vice to our community,” said Cst. Tracy Wolbeck. “The Crime Reduction Unit is very proactive in breaking down the drug trade here and this is another example of that work being done well.”
