Two more candidates have put their name on the ballot for election in Columbia River-Revelstoke.

Rylan Kashuba running for the Libertarian Party and Duncan Boyd MacLeod is running as an independent candidate.

Kashuba is the owner of Reel Axe Adventures, a fishing guide business based in Radium Hot Springs.

He told the radio station Drive FM that he put his name up as a candidate so there would be someone on the ballot he could vote for.

He said he had no plans on campaigning and wouldn’t be granting any interviews either.

MacLeod is the international program manager for the Rocky Mountain International Student Program. The Review has contacted MacLeod for an interview.

He said he will attend the all-candidates forum at the Revelstoke Community Centre on Thursday, Apr. 20, at 7 p.m.

Kashuba will not be at the debate.

MacLeod and Kashuba join Doug Clovechok (BC Liberal), Gerry Taft (NDP), Samson Boyer (Green) and Justin Hooles (independent) in the race.

The election is on May 9.
