NEWTON — Police are talking to neighbours in the 12800 block of 60 Avenue area of Surrey this morning after more shots were fired in Newton Monday night.

When Surrey RCMP arrived at about 8 p.m., there were no victims at the scene but police say they “found evidence to support that shots had been fired.”

RCMP say two vehicles were seen driving away after the shots were fired.

Police have not released descriptions of the vehicles.

Traffic had been closed in the area of 128 Street and 60 Avenue but investigators have since cleared the traffic in the area.

Anyone with further information who has not already spoken to police is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.

There were reports of a second shooting later Monday night in Whalley that killed a family dog. Photos appearing on social media seemed to show bullet holes in the front of a house.
