Those looking to drive to the U.S. through the Sumas Border Crossing this long weekend are going have to suffer long delays.
As of 12 p.m. the wait to cross the border is approximately 45 minutes, according to ezbordercrossing.com.
Some have reported on social media they waited up to two hours earlier in the day.
Other border crossings in the Lower Mainland are not fairing any better; the wait at the Aldergrove Crossing is estimated at 40 minutes and the wait at the Peach Arch Crossing is 80 minutes as of noon.
There are three lanes open for the Sumas crossing but the nexus lane is closed.
