Most universities and colleges across the Lower Mainland were open Monday morning, despite the heavy snow blanketing the region.
The University of B.C. said all classes were going as normal but to “please take care on your commute and allow extra time.”

Both of Simon Fraser University’s campuses – Surrey and Burnaby – opened their doors Monday morning, as did Douglas College, Langara College and BCIT.
All campuses are OPEN as scheduled today. Be prepared for winter conditions with appropriate clothing and footwear, as well as allowing extra time for travel to and from campus.

All Kwantlen Polytechnic University campuses were closed Monday morning.

Trinity Western cancelled all Monday morning classes and urged students to check back for afternoon ones.

The University of the Fraser Valley also closed all its campuses due to “severe weather and poor travel conditions.”
