UPDATE: 11-year-old Nanaimo boy located safe and sound

Rohan Baptiste was reported missing, but has been found

UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP say the 11-year-old boy who had been reported missing has been located safe and sound.

PREVIOUSLY POSTED: Police are asking for the public’s help to find an 11-year-old boy who has been missing since last night.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, Rohan Baptiste was last seen at about 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Finlayson Street.

“Given his age his caregivers and friends are extremely worried for his safety and well-being,” the press release noted.

Baptiste is an indigenous youth, 5-foot-3, 120 pounds and has dark hair with blond streaks. Baptiste was last seen wearing a black jacket with white stripes, black track pants with white stripes and black Crocs.

Anyone with information on Baptiste’s whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
