UPDATE: Missing teen has been found, say RCMP.
THURSDAY AFTERNOON: A family is concerned about the well-being of a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for more than a week.
Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in trying to locate Jada Charlie-Carlson, who has not returned home since Sept. 26, according to a police press release.
“Officers have conducted extensive patrols throughout Nanaimo including reports she may have been at tent city or travelled as far as Port Alberni,” the release notes. “Despite these measures, Jada has not been located and her family is extremely concerned for her safety and well-being.”
Charlie-Carlson is First Nations, 5-foot-4, 115 pounds, with long, dark, wavy hair. When she was last at home, she was wearing a grey long-sleeve top and black leggings.
