UPDATE: 4-way stop in place after crash on Highway 97 in Quesnel

A loaded semi-truck and a pickup towing a boat collided near Canadian Tire

UPDATE:

An intersection on Highway 97 is temporarily a four way stop.

The traffic signal on Cedar Road, near the Quesnel Canadian Tire, was taken out after a crash on Thursday, May 20.

The speed limit near the intersection is set at 50 km/h.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A traffic signal in South Quesnel on Highway 97 is down after a crash involving a semi-truck.

The truck collided with a pickup towing a boat, knocking down the traffic light nearest to Canadian Tire.

Quesnel RCMP officers were on scene, directing traffic around the vehicles, with traffic flowing, albeit slowly in both directions.

It is not known if there were any injuries in the crash, or when the traffic light will be re-installed.
