April 14 UPDATE:
A 40-year-old woman, reported missing in Maple Ridge in mid-February “has, sadly, been located deceased,” explained Ridge Meadows RCMP Const. Julie Klaussner.
“Police do not suspect any foul play. This incident is concluded and, due to privacy, no further details will be released” by the RCMP, she added.
Meanwhile, however, Mounties and a private investigator previously shared information about Atefeh Jadidian, a Maple Ridge pharmacist, who lived in Port Coquitlam and who disappeared on Feb. 19 – after work.

The single woman was last seen leaving her car at Dewdney Trunk Road and 240th Street, and walking east along Dewdney, in the 24800-block.
Initial searches of the area failed to turn up any further sightings of Jadidian. Then, due to the COVID outbreak, any large-scale searches were postponed. Investigators had hoped to organize a bigger search effort this coming weekend.
Almost $10,000 was raised through a GoFundMe campaign aimed at helping the family cover costs to find her.

Maple Ridge Mounties and B.C. Coroners Service are at a rural Whonnock property tonight.
The police were called in Saturday evening to a home in the 27000-block of Dewdney Trunk Road, said Staff Sgt. Grant Wong.
While he was able to confirm the coroner was on site along with members of Ridge Meadows RCMP, he clarified that integrated teams are not expected to be called in.
Nevertheless, local police are expected to be there investigating through the night, Wong added.
“We will be there all night and into tomorrow, as well,” he said, unable to give further information until the next of kin could be reached.
Wong said the incident did not pose any danger to the public.
