A crash that snapped a utility pole on 200 Street near 48 Avenue in Langley cut power to about 600 B.C. Hydro customers and blocked off northbound traffic for several hours Wednesday morning.
Langley RCMP reported it was the result of a single vehicle crash shortly before 3 a.m.
No serious injuries were reported.
B.C. Hydro reported the affected area was east of 198C Street, west of 204A Street, north of 44th Avenue and south of 201A Street.
A few hours later that same morning, around 9 a.m. a small sedan and a pickup truck collided just up the street from the fallen utility pole, bringing the number of serious crashes at or near the intersection to four in just over two weeks.
There were no serious injuries reported in any of the collisions, which included a two-car pile-up on Monday afternoon (July 8), and a Corvette that crashed through a brick wall and landed in the yard of a home on June 25.

Austin Fadear, who lives in the house where the Corvette landed, called the latest crashes “ridiculous,” adding something should be done to improve safety in that stretch of 200 Street.
