North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP were detouring traffic around a crash at the intersection of Highway 18 and Drinkwater Road at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
The crash occurred between a black pickup truck and a dump truck.
A police statement said both vehicles were driven by men, and they were the sole occupants of the vehicles.
One had no injuries and the other was checked by ambulance crews and released on scene.
Alcohol, drugs and speed do not appear to be a factor in the accident.
Charges are not being considered at this time.
