Twinkling lights, festive entertainment, and special guests are lined up for the Drive-Thru Christmas Experience at the Chilliwack Coliseum on Wednesday, Dec. 16.
The sold-out event from the Chilliwack Chiefs and the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce will be welcoming hundreds onto the site over four hours that will be transformed into an enchanting holiday wonderland.
The whole idea is experiencing the magic of the season from the safety and comfort of a vehicle. Organizers were only permitted to register 50 cars per hour to the “contactless” drive-through Christmas experience.
They are asking vehicles to access the drive-thru site from Ashwell Road. Look for the lighted tent to enter.
They are also graciously requesting cash donations, for the Christmas hamper program put together by Chilliwack Community Services and Salvation Army of Chilliwack, which is in need of a last-minute financial boost to serve those in need.
“We all needed some happiness and joy this holiday season,” according to Leanna Kemp, executive director of the Chamber.
With rousing holiday entertainment from 89.5 the Drive, as well as an impressive display of twinkling lights compliments of the City of Chilliwack and Fraser Valley Christmas Lights, it promises to hit all the high notes for those who registered.
There will be tasty treats, including a dessert truck, and lovely Christmas messages penned by local kids.
All COVID-19 protocols will be in place.
“Our trusted volunteers will have masks as well as will provide the treats in a safe and creative way. We will have contact tracers taking names and phone numbers.
“Let’s all be good and do this right. Happy Holidays to all and to all a great night!”
