The driver involved in the collision at Nine Kitchen and Lounge Restaurant in Abbotsford has turned himself in to police.
The Abbotsford Police Department announced that the man who struck the patio of the establishment late on Saturday night took responsibility for the crash and damage yesterday afternoon.
The driver is not in custody, but is co-operating with investigators. This collision is still under investigation.
The damage was initially discovered on Sunday morning by one of the restaurant’s owners.
CCTV footage from neighbouring businesses shows a vehicle skidding down Montrose, driving over the curb and smashing into the patio.
Video footage from the incident was posted on YouTube and shared on social media, but it has since been removed.
