A dump truck burst into flames in the eastbound lanes of Lougheed Highway near 266th Street, snarling traffic on the busy highway at about 4:30 p.m., Monday.
Maple Ridge Fire and Rescue quickly arrived on scene and extinguished the fire.
Traffic was getting by in one lane in each direction about an hour later. The front part of the cab of the truck caught fire.

The extent of any injuries is unknown.
