An Abbotsford man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on the Trans-Canada Highway in Langley early this morning.
Langley RCMP attended an accident on the freeway near the 232nd Street interchange about 5:20 a.m. to find a man deceased on the scene.
The victim has been identified as a 40-year-old Abbotsford resident, said Const. Melissa Wutke of BC RCMP Traffic Services.
The three-car collision ended with a black Acura in a ditch near the 232nd Street exit ramp, Wutke said.
The occupants of the other two vehicles involved were not hurt.
Port Mann RCMP freeway patrol, the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and the B.C. Coroners Service have now taken over the investigation.
This eastbound crash, along with another near 208th Street Tuesday morning, caused massive backups for commuters.
