UPDATE:
Quesnel RCMP has confirmed that their presence at a home north of Quesnel was a non-event.
“We had information about a possible crime in progress which turned out to be false,” Sgt. Chris Riddle told the Observer.

The Quesnel Cariboo Observer newsroom is receiving a report that police cars were seen driving at speed down Highway 97 North, and stopped at a residence located along the highway between 10 Mile Lake Camp Road and Bjornson Road.
Four police cars are currently at or near the residence.
The Observer has contacted the RCMP for more information, but they have yet to comment.
