West Shore RCMP confirm a hiker reported missing was found dead in Goldstream Park.
First responders had organized at Goldstream Park early on Jan. 11 for reports of a missing hiker.
Metchosin Search and Rescue are on scene, as well as members of Langford Fire and the West Shore RCMP.
They had been searching for a 33-year-old Squamish woman who has been missing since approximately 4 p.m. on Jan. 10. She is believed to have been hiking alone.
Search crews have been on scene since 7 a.m. and say police found her vehicle near Bear Mountain and crews also found some of the woman’s personal items in the area of the trestle and Niagra Creek.

Langford Fire had been using a drone to search the area from above and have now taken over to rappel down into Niagra Canyon to recover the body.
