A man was shot in the area of 264th Street and 56th Avenue at shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
“Officers attended to find a male suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds,” said Langley RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy.
The victim was in the company of another male who has provided information to assist with the investigation.
“While it is still early in the investigation, police do believe this incident to be targeted,” Largy noted. “At this time is remains undetermined if this shooting is connected to the homicide earlier in the day in Langley.
At about 10:30 a.m., an injured man was found in the 23700 block of 72nd Avenue. Despite the work of emergency personnel, he died of his injuries and IHIT is heading the investigation.
The parking lot at the Greater Vancouver Zoo is definitely a location connected to the Gloucester area shooting investigation.
“Due to injuries sustained by the victim, police have not been able to formerly speak to him and gather more information,” Largy said.
He is a 29 year old male from Mission who is known to police.
